SeLf Care Tips
- Take a hot bath with epsom or sea salt and essential oils
- Turn off any unnecessary notifications on your phone
- Choose healthy foods over survival foods to not jeopardize your wellbeing
- Start your day with a meditation, affirmations and/or yoga
- Take care of finances
- Open a window or go out in your backyard a few times everyday if you are in isolation
- Practice Qi Gong or creative dance with music anytime you feel the need to change the energy
- Diffuse essential oils to uplift the vibe
- Take a notebook and journal your feelings or thoughts and ask yourself questions, observe the answer in your environment and in your inner vision or in your body as a form of self communication
INformed self-care
We may not necessarily go see a healthcare professional right away for minor issues like skin irritations, scrapes and minor burns or the occasional feelings of sadness or seasonal allergies if we know how to treat those minor issues ourselves. That is what we refer to as informed selfcare; knowing how to take care of ourselves. There is something very empowering and satisfying about being able to support ourselves in non-invasive and uncomplicated ways. We learn how to incorporate healthier ways of being, including exercise, healthier food choices, supplementations, plenty of clear fluids and the powerful effects of chemical constituents contained in plants.
